Markov's Chain

STATS 125 topic on May 7,2008; Markov Chains. It is about simple random walk or Brownie motion. That might seems more familiar to some people. It is a process that evolves randomly over time and making next simplest assumption where P(Xn+1=s(n+1) I Xn=s(n) ). OK Lets not talk about it, but I found out something interesting related to this great theory=)

Somehow, from the theorem we know that what happens next depends only on the current state of system and not on its priory history. The same applied to ourlife I think. It doesnt matter how we get to this point, but what we do now going to determine where and what are we going to be tomorrow. Thus dont regret our yesterday and take it as a valuable experience. Make full of today so that you dont regret it tomorrow.

Exam is Over

Finally exam is OVER, alhamdulillah. Eventhough we only take four papers, but it feels like a long period of time. With two math papers, one statistic paper and one computer paper to finish, it took us almost 2 weeks. Isn't that long. But whatever it is, it is over.

Some of my friends even when to the Starbucks and some coffee shop to hang out and 'lepak'. It does sound like a celebration right? But as for me, I would rather rush back to my home and be on my bed right away. It is not something to celebrate i think since we are not all done actually. We still have the final sem exam coming. But still we need a moment to relax=)

At this point I am wondering, what is the point of studying actually??Do we study only for the sake of exam??Don't we study since we want the knowledge. I came to think about it after this one night. I was studying and it was nearly 1am in the morning. Then I 'buzz' my friend on YM and chat with him for a while. I told him that I' going to bed. Immediately he protested the idea, and said I should continue my study. I wonder, yeah maybe I should. But when he added a new point, my heart begin to protest. He said I should study for the exam tomorrow, and after exam I could sleep for how many days I want. I wonder, then what is the point? Am I studying just for the exam? No I am not. Exam is just something to measure what I had learn for the past 3 months. But do I have to sacrifise my sleep time?? Yeah at one point I should, but I dont think I should persuade myself that already tired to keep on going.

Maybe every person have different way of studying. Some of us prefer to wake up early and the other half may choose to sleep late at night studying. Anyway is possible. It is all depend on you. What you choose is what you are. And as for me, I choose to sleep early and study whenever I want and stop when I think that my body is tired. That is my way of studying. And I believe that Allah had created the wonderful night for us to rest our body. So use it wisely=)

That is a famous song sang every year when people celebrate their birthday. Including me last week. This is the first time ever I celebrated my birthday far from home. Ooops actually not first time from home since I've been living in hostel since I am 12, but it is first time away from my own land. What does make the difference?? Eventhough my friends are around, but it wont ever be the same as having FAMILY wishing you face to face and rush on you when the clock show 12.00am sharp. Telephone keep on ringging and beeping and your heart couldnt stop being overjoyed with the love everybody show you. But still, my friend did celebrate it and I enjoyed myself. Thank you dear=)

But what birthday is all about?? It is a celebration of your age turning into a new number. And this year I am 21. and I wish I am still 18=) what an impossible hope. Age will never reduce and become smaller number. Our age will keep on increasing with GOD will. But what is the point of celebrating it?? Do we realise that as our age turning into a new number, our time to be on this world is decreasing. It never increase and never directly proportional to each other. Yeah, now I realise that. The days to live before we will be returned to Allah become shorter. Sejenak aku berfikir dan merenung adakah cukup apa yang ak lakukan sekarang. Absolutely NOT.

But when I came to think bout it again, the celebration also could express our gratitude to Allah dengan usia yang dikurniakanNya. Thank You ALLAH for this opportunity you gave me. And thank you Umi dan Abah. Without both of you, I woud never have this wonderful life and will never have 26 April 1987 as the day of my birth.

Last but not least, thank you every body for remembering my day. Thank you Umi for the parcel you gave me. ThANK YoU so MucH. ThanK you HazeL Hannah and Farihah for the delicious cake. Holiday, yiippppeeee!!! I couldnt wait for it. I am going to join the Waikato trip

organized by our senior. It took us 4 hours to reach there. That was my first time going out of the Auckland city. I've been waiting to see what the real New Zealand was like. I heard that there are more cows than men here. But seriously after three months here I never ever see a single one of them and I wonder was it true? But now I can confirm myself. It is absolutely true. Immediately after few kilometres out if the city, we could see all the cows here and there. Including the shheps as well. Yeah now I do feel like I am in New Zealand.
