3rd Raya Open House
Hehe so after a short rest for the stomach, then we continue to another house. House of tree of my batch. Another superb delicious menu served, and I cant hesitate to fill in the left empty spaces. Taking these and that, now sate was my main attention, sedapnyeeeee. Thank You my dear friend, you fulfill what I need, the need of my family's warm love. Thank You again, really appreciate it. May Allah bless you now and on every step ypu take in your life a ahead.
2nd day of Eid
Abu Hamzah Anas bin Malik, radiyallahu 'anhu, who was the servant of the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, reported that the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, said:
"None of you truly believes (in Allah and in His religion) until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself"
That is the theme of the day. Dalam kemeriahan kita menyambut aidilfitri, bagaimana dengan saudara kita yang tidak jemu mempertahankan maruah dan martabat agama kita. Bagaimana kita?
Eid Mubarak
Ramadhan fly so fast and now Syawal is already coming. It feels awkward to leave the blessful month after a full pack priod with ibadah insya Allah.
Eid Mubaarak!
Then I proceed to the Forte Common Room for the Mount Street open house. We prepared maybe about 10 different dishes that normally served during this special day. Name it, and Insya Allah it is there. We expected about 200 guest from different races. Alhamdulillah, the celebration is a joyful event where everybody came to greet each other and ask for forgiveness. Pictures are taken continously, non stop, just to capture this memorable day. But that isnt me to take too much photos, hehhe kind of not my personality, it would be enough to have one or two just for memory sake.
Then realizing that I havent attend Kak Husna's open house, I 'memohon diri'. Kak Husna prepared a special dish from Terengganu, Nasi Dagang. Sounds delicious right. But I could put anymore food in ar else it will get explode. So I just take some biscuits, my favourite biscuit, biskut Suji=D Some kids there love it as well. Ogh I mean some postgraduates sons and daughters there.
Me and Headlines
That is what Sahur thought me. It always hard to wake up early in the morning. Rather than having my face wash with the icy water, I would rather choose to be in my warm blanket. but when I know that I HAVE to take my sahur before 5.00am for example I would definitely wake up to fill my stomach with something even it is hard to chew something that early. but now, i know even the azan already sound from my laptop, even the alarm of high beat sound ringing, i still n my bed. Knowing that i still have a couple of minutes before subuh come to an end. BAD BAD BAD.
If I can do it then, why cant I do it now, right? Human can do anything, especially when they have the target in their head, in their mind. So have your aim, and work for it.
Our Eid celebration
It has been a while since I updated here. So many things happen in my life that I want to share especially about our raya celebration here, but just an overview about it. Not in so much detail.
Even we are far from home, but we still prepared some home dishes, or should I say lots of home dishes in order to celebrate Eid Fitri. All of them are prepared by my kind Bio and Chemistry friends since Math students have a test that afternoon. All of them patiently wait till we finished our battle in the exam hall. One of the war that we have to face, maybe we don’t raise up our swords or ‘pertumpahan darah’ like Rasulallah did in Badar War. But it reminded me of the same thing. Then we celebrated it together in 3D, like a big family of mine. Thank you my fellow friends. How much I appreciated your presence in my life, Thank You
Our weekend shedule also full with the open houses invitation. kalah raya dekat Malaysia. If I was in Malaysia, we oncelebrated it for a week and thats it. Whats more in Kelantan, where we celebrated AidilAdha much longer and more joyous then EidFitri. But I wonder how this AidilAdha will feel like? With no Tok Ayah and nenek around? Will I feel the same?
That was last 3 weeks occasion. The latest event is our IB open houses held at I-Space; an international lounge on the third floor of the Kate Edger building. Everybody was surprised how on earth we could book such a place without establishing a formal club. All thanks to our manager and the organizer, with their good public relation we are able to book that exclusive place. At first, I was afraid, how are we gonna host an occasion for around 200 guests? And how are we going to cook 17 chickens in this small kitchen with limited pan size? And what are we going to do if we don’t provide enough food for the guest? But alhamdulillah, the occasion went smoothly with no problem at all. Alhamdulillah, how thankful I am I cant say. With everyone help, we are able to make it through and everybody was satisfied with the food and happy about the occasion. As a host, what else could we say? We are more than happy than you. Thank you Allah.
[monolog] Rindu Syawal
Agh,
rindu ini menerjah lagi,
mengetuk ruang hatiku ini,
meronta-ronta memanggilku pulang.
Satu persatu wajah kesayanganku menerjah minda,
Lipatan memori ku terbuka luas kini,
Segala-galanya seolah skrin lebar dihadapan mataku,
Semuanya begitu segar diingatan,
Rindu
Rindu sekali,
Tidak tertahan rasanya,
Menitis air mata ku terkenangkan pelukan hangat ayahanda dan bonda,
Menyalami permata hatiku satu persatu,
Semua wajah kusayang tersenyum lebar
Menghargai Aildilfitri kurniaan Ilahi
Menyelami erti kemaafan dan saling memaafkan,
Itulah kemuliaan Syawal
Air jernih itu menitis perlahan
Agh
Tinggalkan aku wahai rindu,
Pergi jauh dariku,
Pergi!!
Aku perlu kekuatan untuk semua ini,
Aku perlu focus menghadapi tanggungjawab ku sebagai pelajar,
Inilah pengorbananku,
Inilah tugasku
Namun, puas kucegah
Puas ku memujuk diri
Namun air mata ini mengalir lagi,
Wahai angin bayu, bawakn bisikan rindu ku ini,
Wahai angin sampaikan salam kemaafan ku buat mereka,
Wahai ayah bonda,
Ampu anakanda,
Tak dapat beraya bersama,
Jauh dari mata dekat di jiwa
Teguh kasih ku tidak berubah
True Meaning of Eid to You
Raya have finally be announced by FIANZ after 2 hours of waiting around 930pm. And it has been decided that we (New Zealand) will celebrate Eid Fitri on Monday 21 September 2009. Frustrated that we are not celebrating a day earlier? That we start on the same day as Malaysian did, but we celebrate late by 1 day? Or frustrated that it has to be on one of the schooling day instead of holiday Sunday?
As for me, none of theaswer applied. ALHAMDULILLAH.
I believe everything that occured have reason behind it. And it certainly is. No doubt in it. It just that for us to ponder what. Maybe we cant see it now but Insya Allah sooner or later we will realise about it.
So there is no need to be frustrated or having any bad feeling about it. It is HIS fate, and HE know BEST
Some of us have test on Monday and few of them might have some regret. Some cried, some give a sigh and somemight just keep quit to themselves.
- Is it for you to have your own sweet time and enjoy the food served?
- is it a day for you to hang around with your circle of friends?
- Being free after a whole month of discipline?@Holiday
- Get together with your loved ones?
Dont forget to great one another, Eid Mubarak and ask for forgiveness; purify yourself from any wrongdoings you have done all this while; just like the special name given to this day; Eid Fitri represent oneself as becoming to their Fitrah again, pure from any sins, just like the day you were born, Insya Allah
The purpose of 'Eid is deeper than mere celebrations and relaxation. Lexically, eid in Arabic is derived from awd i.e. to return or recur. Thus, in the past when an afflicted community found relief and erstwhile prosperity and comfort returned, that occasion was called 'eid. In Al-Islam, after the month long fast and at the end of Hajj the human soul returns to its pristine state of cleanliness and purity; hence the celebrations of 'Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Hajj.
