On the next day, we pay a visit to Dunesin Cadbury World where we have the
opportunity to visit the factory processing the choclate. But sadly, it actually only available on Monday and Wednesday, so miss the opprtunity and only allowed to visit some of it. But it's still fun:D Some facts that I found interesting
- believe it or not the cocoa beans used by Cadbury actually came from our very own country, MALAYSIA. maybe we are lacking of the skill of making a good choclate and thats why 'Lembu punya susu Sapi dapat nama' happen.
- White choclate only made from Milk, and sugar. No choclate are used at all.
- The Aztecs loved their ‘Chocolate’, a luxury drink described as ‘ finely ground, soft, foamy, reddish, bitter with chilli water, aromatic flowers, vanilla and wild bee honey’. Can you believe it?
- In 1687 an English doctor, Sir Hans Sloane was travelling in Jamaica where he tried chocolate, a local drink. He didn’t like it much, but when he added milk to it, he thought it tasted much better.
Then we drop by a famous university in Dunedin which famous in their medical. I guess thats why our country chose University of Otago to locate some of malaysian students.
And the most unorgattable among all is walking up the World's Steepest Street; Baldwin Street. Ya Allah, initially i dont really want to 'panjat' the bukit, but looking at the elders walking happily up the hill that make about 47 degree is a challenge for me. And Alhamdulillah it is not that bad. I could feelmy heart pumping fastly to supply enough oxygen for the organs, and it worth it. Automatically, you would smile exitedly.
