Is it OK to have first impression?

Somewhere around last week, I met a guy which I never seen before. Being friendly and out of courtesy, we had a short conversation before I reached my apartment floor. But for some reason, my head make a short conclussion about him. In fact a bad impression. Well I must said that the conclussion is basically based on a poor reasoning and completely illogical. But that is the purpose of Schemata right. Your conclussion and your impression upon someone will dependent on your previous experience. For example, if you found someone wearing a tuxedo, you will jump to a conclussion that he might be a businessman and wealthy.And if you found someone having a big portion meal, you will said that "Oh she might be hungry" or "She must be late this morning that she dont have enough tme for breakfast". Well that sort of thing is SCHEMA which affluence our FIRST IMPRESSION.
But actually is it OK to give an impression toward somebody without knowing anything about him or her? I believe that the idiom saying, "Dont Judge a book by its cover" is good enough to answer that question. But what our religion actually comment on this? Which is more crucial to answer this question because we live by the rule set by our one and only God. What He actually said about it?
I found a great verse to answer this question, not only that it is bad to make a first impression, but also a comparison of that act which make us thinking and dont want to repeat the same mistake again

"O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful."[Al-Hujurat 49:12]

Masya Allah, Islam is a way of life. Allah has guide us in every detail of how we should lead our life, to the extence of shaping our mind which will lead to the shaping of a great indivdual. And I believe we have no right to make a judgement toward someone before you really get to know him. Because not everything we see in the appearance, will reveal what type of person somebody is. But maybe it will give a bit of information about someone and guide you through to know more about the person.
