The Pacifier

Two nights in a row watching movie. But it is somehow something I try to change, rather that watching movies I would prefer reading which I believed could benefit me more. But movie is not that bad right, as long as you learn something from it. If not many maybe at least one, or else the short 2 hours means nothing than only short happiness you feel. So what do I get tonight? The Pacifier is all about a tough rough soldier who only know his military world now step in a reality world and dealing with the normal human being. It surely really hard for someone like him who has never ever taught of changing a napkin would have to take care of five kids more than 48hours promised by their mother. But somehow he MANAGED.
Taking care of a child is hard enough and what to expect with five of them in different age group. Teenagers would need a different approach as compare to a kid and whats more a baby. Kids who in a transition age I would say would always act as he or she is big enough that they don't need the surveillance of the elderly. "I can take care of myself" is a normal phrase. But somehow they are wrong, but not totally wrong that the senior aged have the rihgt to scold them. I believe the best approach for them is BE A FRIEND and not a BOSS anymore. At this time, they need people to listen to them and talk to them. Try to figure what is best for them in life, but maybe not directly. Shane is the only person who can make Lucy open up what has been bottled up for a long time. A good strategy I would say.
How about a kid in his or her 7-10? Maybe at this time, the behavior is kind of taking their shape and become HABIT. This is when what they do will be carry on in the future. I would say, what my mum taught me long ago is what I do now. What she says years before is already in my head. Kind of use to it. So I would say be a TEACHER is good, but not that strict cause at some stage a person could break. Give some homework to do, prepare some timetable for them and you as well. Just like how it works at school but more enjoyable cause it is 1-to-1 session not 1-to-30 anymore.
It is definetely true what Rasulallah say, 'kanak-kanak ibarat kain putih dan ibu bapalah yang akan menentukan coraknya'. And surely it is the toughest work ever. Before designing you need at least a picture in your head what kind of product you want and what color you should choose, but sometimes it also depends on what kind of material you have. Not all material is suitable with your design and not all material have the same quality. So you have to be SMART and need some preparation and at least a basic knowledge in it. A TOUGH work for parent. But alhamdulillah I AM PROUD TO HAVE A GREAT DESIGNER, A GREAT ARTIST to work on a material like me. THANK YOU ALLAH.
