Driving in New Zealand is not that hard. The road is fairly straight and the cars on the road is countable. Alhamdulillah everything went smoothly as planned. It is my first time driving for Jaulah (short road trip) and I am delighted to be chosen, Alhamdulillah. I know that I am not good as a presenter but at least this is where I can give out something. May Allah Bless us all ameen. We have 10 vans convoy from Auckland to Mt Ruapehu which take approximately 5 hours driving. The scenery is undeniably wonderful, Subhanallah. Only He can Create this beautiful world and every thing in between the earth and the sky are praising Him.
"ALL THAT IS in the heavens and all that is on earth extols God's limitless glory: for He alone is almighty, truly wise!"[As Saff 61:1]
"He said: What hindered thee that thou didst not fall prostrate when I bade thee? (Iblis) said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire while him Thou didst create of mud. (12)
He said: Then go down hence! It is not for thee to show pride here, so go forth! Lo! thou art of those degraded. (13)
He said: Reprieve me till the day when they are raised (from the dead). (14)
He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved. (15)
He said: Now, because Thou hast sent me astray, verily I shall lurk in ambush for them on Thy Right Path. (16)
Then I shall come upon them from before them and from behind them and from their right hands and from their left hands, and Thou wilt not find most of them beholden (unto Thee). (17)
He said: Go forth from hence, degraded, banished. As for such of them as follow thee, surely I will fill hell with all of you. (18)
Astaghfirullah Al-Azim. Allah has preserve this story in the Quran for us to think, reflect and learn from it. Iblis doesn't want to obey Allah's order to prostrate Adam; thinking that he is superior that Adam who was created from mud while he was made from fire which is far better that him who was made out of mus. Astaghfirullah Al-Azim. And because of his arrogance, he was dispel from where he initially live.
Therefore this type of behavior; feeling superior than others is never acceptable in heaven. Feeling strikes by lightening when I hear that. "Oh, that is the message of this story", do I have that attitude within me? within ourselves? Just keep the answer to yourselves and He knew it. Being cast away, Iblis promised that he will find his follower to be with him in hell. In verse 17, he promised that he will come from all direction persuading us to be disgrateful. Feeling bad about what we have. Maybe that is why we found ourselves complaining all the time. Nauzubillah.
Just imagine, one of your friend keep on following you, not by your side, but keep looking at you while talking. Initially he is on your side that he move to your right and later change to your back. Eeeee sounds like worst that a stalker, doesn't it? Nazubillah, May Allah keep us all on the Right path. Ameen.
Oh yes, another important message from these verses are the importance of du'a. Iblis is also one of Allah creation and we believe that they exist even we can't see it visually. And as a slave, everything we do, we ask the creator's permission. That is one of the Iblis's good point eventhough they are mean, cruel etc etc. And Allah granted his wish. Even Ia person is as cruel as him, Iblis pray to Allah and make a dua, what about us? Insya Allah, we are not at the same level as him, so ask His guidance and Insya Allah He will grant it.
"And when My servants question thee concerning Me, then surely I am nigh. I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he crieth unto Me. So let them hear My call and let them trust in Me, in order that they may be led aright. (186)
