A really short trip

Rasa macam bermimpi bila saya memandu sebelum azan subuh berkumandang. Namun itulah kenyataanya. Seawal jam 430 pagi, saya dan kawan-kawan dari Adelaide, Australia menuju ke Taupo dna kemudian Rotorua. Memandangkan mereka akan pulang ke pusat pengajian mereka pada keesokan harinya, so we are only afford to have a day trip, even though people would normally spend 2-3 days in both of these places.
We became the first person to arrive in Hamilton Garden after the opening hours. Even the land is still full with fog. But looking at the bright side, we are able to breath the fresh air and it is so easy to take photos around. We spent approximately an hour before continuing our drive to Huka Falls. When we reach there the clock showed 11.30am just like what we have planned. Later when the two of us finished with Huka Falls Jet, I started the engine and drove to our main destination Rotorua. Along the driveway, there are many geothermal activity area spotted through the smoke in the air. And not to be forgotten, the smell it offers, almost like 'telur tembelang' @ sulfur. Nak tutup hidung, tapi tengah drive. So just bare with it.

After the show
Boiling water last for few seconds only
Sweet corn in the making
Blue Lake 116C
Two Geysers
Alhamdulillah we reached Whakapapa village at 2.05pm, just nice for the performance. Alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for all the smoothness you gave. I enjoyed the performance and I hope so does everyone else in the group. Then we joined the group tour around the village. The most fascinating panorama is 2 geisers and one of them are named as Pohutu. Even though the geyser is quite far as compared to what I've seen in Te Puia, but it is still magnificent. Our guider told us that, on the same day as Tsunami 24th December 2006, 5 geysers came out and some other cracked appear on the ground. Besides, the pool temperature recorded on that day is 16 degree higher than usual. Not only Acheh seemed ti have a disastrous day, but all around the world. But to say that there is a connection between the incidents, none of the geologist came to a conclusion.
If you realized in one of the picture, there is a women attaching a rope to a white bag. It is one of their way of cooking either vegetables or corn. Just dip the vegetables you have for few minutes and it is ready to be served. There is another method called hangi where they make a closed box on the ground and put in the pot with chicken for example and leave it there while you o out for work. Then later in the evening, 'dinner is ready'. Pretty simple right. I hope I have a picture of that, sorry my dear reader.
